Default How Am I Supposed to Find Similar-level Players?

The tools for finding similar-level players to form groups with seem almost nonexistent. It seems ten times more difficult than any of the other half-dozen MMO's I've played. Are there some handy commands that just aren't documented? Obviously /who isn't there, and right-clicking on a player name gives no options to get more information. How are we supposed to go about finding people? I can't believe a multiplayer game has no good way to form appropriate groups.

well they sure need a command like /who.. r u still in pre-searing? it's hard getting a group there cos the lvls won't show in town.. but in post-searing, if you're in a mission area, you'll see their lvl displayed above their head

hope that answered u...

Post-searing, actually. In the Ruins with about 200 others milling around. I got there yesterday after getting in a group to do the North Wall mission. Now I have this new location, and when I go there, I have an "Enter Mission" button but nothing in my quest list that says what mission. That's confusing enough without even trying to find a group.

Sure, I can see their profs/levels over their heads. But how do I know if they're in a group already, or if that group is full? And if someone sends me an message asking me if I want to join, how do I find details on that player?

The whole interface for missions and grouping seems way too limited and frustrating, like it was an afterthought.

Quests are the only things updated on the quest page (L). Missions just help with the storyline and help ya advance further along in the world and open up new areas so you can progress in the game.

You'll know if they are already in a group if their names are a dark blue. If they are not grouped yet then their names are a light blue when hi-lighted. If you try to join that group, and if its full, then it will not allow you to join saying that the party is too full to merge with. If someone sends you a "whisper"/message about joining a group then you just type in their name under yours on the interface and hit enter... that will allow them to know you want to join their group and accept you if they want to. If you want more information on the character than the best thing to do is "whisper"/message the person back and ask whatever questions you have before you decide on joining.

Hope that helped put things into perspective.

Just jump from district to district saying "Level 8 wo/me LFG" or whatever you are. Level doesnt really matter when grouping in this game, as higher levels dont eat exp. This is the easiest game to group in I have ever played, you just find a city, and ask.

What I normally do is send join requests to existing groups. I find someone who is my level and has the blue icon over their head with the number of players in their party. Once you "invite" them, you can mouse over their name in your list and it will show who is in the party with them. Works for me, anyway....

And yeah there is always spamming "Level ....LFG" when in towns. Sending join requests is more proactive though.
